Questions owners ask
What does Givmo cost?
Loyalty is free. Setup is free, training is free, your kit is free, your dashboard is free and your own merchant gift cards are all free, permanently. The only thing we charge for is 10% of a universal Givmo gift card when it's redeemed at your business — new customers and money you wouldn't have taken otherwise. Rates can be negotiated as low as 7% for high-volume merchants.
Do you take a cut of my loyalty rewards?
No. Zero. Every cedi you promise your customer reaches your customer.
Can a customer spend rewards they earned with me somewhere else?
No. Loyalty cash earned at your business is locked to your business. It is not transferable between merchants and it never leaves your till. Only universal Givmo gift cards move across the network, and those bring spending to you.
Do I need new hardware or POS integration?
No. Givmo runs on the phone you already have. Your customer scans a printed code and you approve on your phone or in the dashboard. Nothing plugs into your till.
Who in my shop can approve?
Anyone you authorise. We train at least two people during setup — your approver and a backup — and you can add, remove or reassign approvers yourself in the dashboard in two taps. Do it the same day someone leaves.
How do you protect my high priced items?
Dental, opticians, auto and premium retailers sell products that need an extra layer of protection. We support high-value redemptions with one-time-code verification and per-invoice caps you control. If your average sale is above GHC 2,000, tell us at signup and we'll configure it with you.
What if I want to stop?
Give us 30 days' notice from the dashboard or by email. During those 30 days your customers can still spend the balance they've earned with you — we'll tell them by SMS. Any balance still unredeemed at the end of the 30 days is settled to Givmo and converted to universal gift card credit for those customers, so nobody loses money they earned. Then we close your account, hand over your customer data, and that's it. No exit fee, no lock-in.
